The use of standards and the benefits it brings in international trade of biomass fuels will be presented and educated at workshops. Partners will prepare presentations and training materials. The workshops are for anyone active in the field of biomass fuels, producers, users, laboratories, educators, governments, etc. The workshops will be held in the local language and in English. The BIODAT database and the Phydades website will be used as primary tool for information exchange. Four Workshops will be held in regions where it is expected that dissemination of the use of standardised analysis methods is most needed: the New Member States in Eastern Europe and Southern Europe, where standardisation has been introduced but is not generally applied:

• Estonia
• Poland
• Spain
• Romania.
